Help Our Children Grow by Supporting the Learning Fund

The Learning Fund, an affiliate of the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation, is a non-profit organization that raises funds to bridge the gap between public funding and the true cost of the full educational experience we all want for our students at Green Valley Elementary.

With your generous support, The Learning Fund will provide the following critical programs and services this 2009-2010 year:

• Classroom Para Educators - Provides education support for teachers. Funding supports 4 para educators at 18 hours/week.
• Reading Program - Reading support for students in grades 1-5; guides and creates classroom reading curriculum; provides specialized training for teaching staff. Funding supports a Reading Specialist at 27.5 hours/week.
• Librarian - Provides a rich library experience for all students at Green Valley. Funding supports 17.5 hours/week.
• Teacher on Special Assignment (TSA) - Provides valuable administrative support; manages student relations; will introduce and lead a new conflict resolution program; leads student success team meetings; assists in teacher training and coaching. Funding supports 16 hours/week.
• Computer Instruction, Support, Equipment and Materials - Leads computer instruction for all students; provides critical technology administration and support for the campus computer equipment; funds supplies, materials, upgrades, and training. Funding supports single staff position for instruction and support, and technology equipment and materials needs.
• Music Program - Vocal music program for grades K-3. Instrumental program for grades 4-5 is currently available through district funding. Funding supports 12 hours/week.

eSCRIP is an easy way to raise much needed funds for Green Valley. Just shop as usual at stores such as Safeway and Macys and eSCRIP will donate a percentage of your purchase to our school.

An average family could provide a $100 annual donation through their normal shopping activities. This doesn't cost you anything and we could raise thousands of dollars for Green Valley.

Board Opening

Make a direct impact on your child's learning experience - Join the Learning Fund Board.

The Learning Fund has a board opening for a Fundraising Chairperson. In addition to contributing to board decisions on all Learning Fund programs, this individual will help lead fundraising activity for the year.

A live auction, online auction, corporate sponsorships, yard sale, bake sales, fundraising walks--the options are endless. You decide what would be best for Green Valley and we've got the committee to support you. All that is needed is a leader!
