History of Green Valley School
Green Valley School
was one of the earliest schools established in the San Ramon
Valley. Built in 1865 on a hill opposite Cameo Acres, it was
valued at $575, the third most valuable educational
structure in the county. It was used until 1930, at which
time the Green Valley District merged with the Danville
Union School District, and the old school was sold to become
a private residence.
Green Valley School
was built in its present location in the years 1951-1952 to
accomodate the growth of the Danville Union School
District.
