GV RUN CLUB IS BACK (Now-MAY 26):
Now that warm weather and clear skies are here, the Green Valley Run Club has picked up from where it left off. Students are invited to join Coach Matt on the blacktop every Friday from 8-8:30 am. Parents are also encouraged to participate and run with the kids. But, if running isn't your thing, Coach Matt could really use some volunteers to help keep track of laps, as well as provide water and hot chocolate for the runners. To sign up as a volunteer, please click here.
SCIENCE FUN NIGHT IS COMING (APRIL 26):
Every great scientific discovery started with a question. How does this work? Why does this happen? What would happen if…? Now, students have an opportunity to make their own scientific discovery by asking and answering a question of their own for Science Fun Night. If your child plans to enter a project, please have them turn in their Student Entry Form to Mrs. Bourne by Wednesday, March 29th.

GREEN VALLEY'S "SCHOOL WIDE READ ALOUD" PROGRAM:
Every month Green Valley picks a book for its School Wide Read Aloud program (SWRA) - a unique non-curriculum initiative that was first introduced to Green Valley students, across all grades, about 10 years ago. Each chosen book touches upon an important theme, to help meet and address the social and emotional needs of students. As with any school initiative that falls outside of public funding, we rely on the financial support of the Green Valley community. Our goal is to raise $3,000 for SWRA this year.
DANVILLE PD NOW TICKETING IN FRONT LOT:
The Danville Police Department has begun to ticket parents who are not following signage about when it is okay to park in the front school lot and when it is not. Please remember that the correct drop off for children is from the McCauley Road exit. Help keep the children safe (and avoid a ticket), by only dropping off and picking up in the back lot.
